Box Stock Class Rules

Kid's Fun Kart Class 

With safety and fun the first considerations, the purpose of the Kids class is to introduce young drivers to the fundamentals of karting and working more with the driver rather than the equipment.

 

1. Any type of fun kart, solid framed kart, or off-road kart. (no competition racing chassis)

    a. Combined kart & driver weight must meet the minimum requirement 250# at the end of each race

     b. Must have bumpers and roll cage min .065 steel tubing . 

2. Any engine up to max 6.5hp 212cc, must remain stock unaltered from manufacturer specs 

     a. May replace stock air filter with aftermarket race type filter 

     b. Carburetor MUST REMAIN STOCK, may change jet only

     c. Low oil sensor may be unplugged. 

     d. Must run 87 octane pump gas only, No fuel additives allowed 

     e. Engine governor must be stock and operating so the engine will not produce over 3600 RPM

     f. You must run the factory gas tank 

    g. Recoil pull start only 

    h. Must have chain guard 

3. Any size or type tires on any type wheels 

4. No wings allowed 

5. Safety Equipment:

    a. Long pants and long sleeve shirt minimum, race type suit recommended

    b. Full face helmet or dirt bike helmet with goggles

    c. Neck brace

    d. Arm restraints

    e. 4-point seat belts

    f. Raceceiver recommend 


A. If you are chosen for tech please do so without confrontation. If any confrontation is given you will forfeit your finish and trophy for the day. 

B. All tech sessions will be held at end of the race day. 

C. If chosen, please take kart directly to the designated tech area where there will be a track official to watch your equipment.

D. Remove engine from kart if it passes visual inspection of clutch/pipe first hand. 

E. If found illegal you will be DQ’d and suspended for 2 events, 2nd offense 1-year suspension.

  

Briggs 206 JR-1
Drivers will compete for Track Champion Points top three will receive awards.

Drivers age 5 to 8

Weight 265 on track scales

Wing optional

Tread tires only with right rear being 50/55 compound

No tire prep, No tire wraps

Blower cover/pull rope starter must be present and remain stock

Raceceiver recommend

Engine 

Briggs & Stratton LO206 sealed engine with Green restrictor slide.

RLV pipe (#5507 or #5530) with RLV B91XL (part #4104) silencer/muffler.

Briggs & Stratton Green Air Filter Part #555729 only, outerwear allowed.

AKRA box stock clone engine Green plate, 87 Octane Gas, Motor Claim Rule applies. 

Note any clutch in 2020 - Clutch, any rim centrifugal clutch with a maximum of 9 springs and 6 shoes. Clutch must be used as shipped from the ORIGINAL manufacturer.

Premium Gasoline no greater than 94 octane sold at normal roadside fuel stations open to the public.

Drivers will compete for Track Champion Points top three will receive awards.
Drives age 9 to 15
Weight 290 on track scales
Wing optional

Protest Rule
Protester must pay a $65.00 fee prior to the A-Main race to protest a kart in their class. A protest will be verbally accepted from the owner or driver only if his/her kart is in a race with the kart being protested. Cash must be accompanied with the verbal protest to the Tech official.
Protests must be made before the start of feature race. Item to be inspected must be specified i.e.: engine, kart frame, weight etc.
If the kart is found to be legal $40.00 of the bond money will be forfeited to the protested party and $25.00 will be retained for Tech official.


If you fail tech you will lose all Championship points accumulated for the year, all awards for the night and will not be allowed to compete at the next race at the speedway.

Refuses Tech you will lose all Championship points accumulated for the year, all awards for the night and will not be allowed to compete for the next race at the speedway.


NOTE: The track retains the option to inspect for Tech violations on any entry at the entrant’s own expense.

E. If found illegal you will be DQ’ed and suspended for 2 events, 2nd offense 1-year suspension.art of the engine or chassis for violations at anytime.
