The Clark family founded Texoma Speedway in 1999 bring back dirt track go kart racing back to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. It has been a staple of the racing community for nearly 30 years and we continue to provide a world-class racing experience to this day.
We have had a few conversations lately about the 1/5 mile track we built in 2003, so I thought I would give you a little history about the track you race on now. To get to 2003 I need to let you know we built and opened a 1/12 mile dirt track in March 1999, in 2002 we started construction on the new 1/5 mile track on the property next to the 1/12 mile and opened it in 2003.
Our weekly schedule in 2003 was to open Friday nights race outlaw kart on our 1/12 mile track that was where the duck-less pond is located now, on Saturday nights we opened the 1/5 mile track to race mini stock, full size and mini trucks, bombers as well as 3 classes on mini sprints. featuring our figure 8 racing several times thought out the year. On Sep 17, 2009 we hosted the Wichita Falls Vintage car Winter Nationals it was a glorious time.
After 8 years of racing Friday and Saturday nights we reduce the size of the 1/5 mile to a 1/6 mile in 2011. The new 1/6 mile was great for mini sprints back then just a little too big for outlaw kart so we build a 1/10 mile track in the infield for the karts and raced both mini sprint and outlaw karts Saturday night until 2013. We constructed the current 1/8 mile track in the spring of 2014 and committed to outlaw karts only we continue to provide a world-class outlaw kart racing venue.
Fun facts;
From time to time we would hold a kart event on the 1/5 mile track, we record Jeff Williams running a 125cc on the back straight just over 90mph, the box stocks were often clocked between 45 and 60 mph high class wheel men from the past. We also hosted sand and mud drag racing as well as 1/4 mile TT track for ATV racing.
Ron has never missed a race night making his attendance to just over 900 shows as of 2026. A comfortable and safe experience for everyone.

Texoma Speedway has hosted outlaw kart racing at City Limits Entertainment Venue since 1999. We also offer a variety of events throughout the year, including car shows, music concerts with top class artist to this day, Halloween haunted hayride, corn maze, firework shows and more.
