DRIVERS MEETING:
1. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting.
2. Any changes in the basic event night program due to car count, track conditions and/or any other circumstances may be announced at the drivers’ meeting.
3. Westhold transponder, Raceceiver, gloves, neck brace, arm restraints shall be worn between the wrist and the elbow and attached to the lap belt, fire suit and helmet meeting or exceeding Snell 2021 specifications, SFI Rating accepted, full faced with face shield in place and properly fitted to the drivers head are mandatory in all classes except Juice Box.
4. DO NOT Exit your kart. Formalizing a rule that is already there, if a Kart is involved in an accident and can no longer keep going – and no extenuating circumstances exist such as injury or fire – the driver should not loosen any personal safety equipment or exit kart until directed to do so by safety personnel or a track official, if you do will be DQ.
5. No two way radio communication between driver & crew will be permitted.
6. You must keep a fence/wall between yourself and the track at all times during the race unless directed by a track official.
7. Fighting will result in suspension. Both parties involved will be suspended from the next 2 racing events. Any further altercations more people could be suspended for the remainder of the season.
8. Any conversation with officials must to be in a claim manner.
9. If driver switch is made for any reason you must start at the rear of the field and pay entry fee for new driver.
WORK RESTRICTIONS:
1. If a kart is put into the Hot Pit area by an official for mechanical assistance you will be allowed 90 seconds for repairs.
2. You will be allowed 1 chance in the hot pit area per race, if you re-enter the track and are not able to join the field you will be pushed to the pit area.
3. If at anytime your kart need to be started that will count as your HOT PIT
4. If a driver pulls into the Hot Pit you will not have the 90 second rule and you must return to the track at the rear of the field prior to the Yellow light being turned off.
5. If you are stopped by a track official you will get your position back providing no repair/work needs to be performed to your vehicle, if work/repair is needed you will restart in the rear of the field.
RACE LINE-UP FORMAT:
1. Random number draws for heat race starting position.
2. Competitors missing the draw time will start heat race on the rear of the field.
3. Heat 1- lowest draw number starts in pole position etc. We will use ASCS Passing Points to line up Feature Events. A Class could be ask to Draw / Redraw
4. A-Main line-up: Will be off ASCS Passing Points from Heat/s Races
5. Heat races - 8 laps, 6 laps for Young Guns
6. B-Mains - 12 laps, All Non Qualifiers
7. A-Mains – 20 laps, 8 laps for Young Guns -15 Laps for Jr. 1
8. Unfilled starting position will be CRISSCROSS
9. If low kart count in a class we will cut the number of laps in heats and feature. This will be announce in driver meeting
FLAGS:
GREEN FLAG STARTS:
1. The pole kart sets the pace, and the front row starts the race together at the designated
area, regardless of a displayed flag. Any passing before the front row accelerates will not
be permitted.
2. No bumping or contact with other karts leading up to the GREEN FLAG.
3. After two (2) attempts if we do not get a side by side start the front row driver or drivers will be penalized by moving them back one row.
4. Caution flag before completion of one (1) lap, drivers will line up in original positions, with the exception kart drivers involved in incident starting in the rear of the field.
5. If the majority of the entire field is involved in the incident, a complete restart with original positions will occur.
6. If an kart/s does not make the call, we will CRISSCROSS
7. If you spin to the infield and yellow flag is not displayed DO NOT REENTER THE TRACK IN THE TURNS. PLEASE REENTER THE TRACK ON THE STRAIGHT A WAYS.
8. After the checker flag please make one cool down lap before exiting the track.
YELLOW FLAG CAUTION:
1. Reduce speed immediately and maintain your position.
2. The race will not be stopped for any race vehicle in the infield or off the race surface and out of harm’s way.
3. Any kart drivers that stop, either on the racing surface, infield and/or in the pit/designated work area, during a caution period will be considered involved in the yellow flag and that kart driver will restart at the rear of the field.
Two CAUTION YELLOW FLAG RULE:
1. If a driver is involved in bringing out the caution flag two (2) times will receive a black flag.
2. Involved means the reason for the yellow flag to be out.
TEXAS RESTARTS:
1. Karts line-up race leader out front, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc side by side in the running order according to the last completed lap. (Completed lap is when all karts have crossed the start/finish line)
2. After two Texas restart attempts we will go to single file.
3. Single file restarts cone will be placed on the front straightaway, after the yellow light is off the leader can start the race anywhere in turn 4, all karts must pass to the right of the restart cone in a single file. Do not allow excessive gap between karts,
4. If a kart passes to the left of the restart cone, hits the cone, passes other kart(s) before reaching the cone, that kart driver will be penalized at the end of the race the same number of kart(s) passed before the restart cone.
5. Restart Cone will not be used for the Young Guns
RED FLAG:
1. Stop-race is halted
2. Slow down and come to a complete stop out of harm’s way as soon as you can.
3. Any kart that merely spins-out as the field is stopping for a red flag situation will retain their running position provided no contact is made with another kart, fence, wall or like obstacle that in itself would require a yellow or red flag.
BLACK FLAGS:
1. Disqualification penalty imposed on the driver for disobeying the rules but may also be used when suffering a mechanical failure.
2. Rough driving will get you a BLACK FLAG WARNING!
3. Keep driving rough and you will be ejected from the race!
4. Not adhering to the Black Flag and leaving the track in a timely manner will result in said driver to be banned for one race night.
5. If black flag driver retaliate against another driver(s) after the black flag you will be banned for two race nights
SCALES
1. Must weigh after each race (except RWYB, ADULT MOD and JUICE BOX)
2. You will be given the opportunity to check your weight before heat races start.
3. If you weight is light, you will receive a DQ for that race and will not receive any points.
5. After heat race top three will need to scale kart
6. After feature race top 5 will need to scale kart
